Dr. Samir Kulkarni is currently working as Senior Principal Scientist in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pfizer Chemical R＆D working in Groton, CT. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Delft University of technology in the Netherlands in 2014 and then joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT (2014-2016) as a member of MIT-Novartis center for continuous manufacturing. Dr. Kulkarni’s research focuses on crystallization from solution with emphasis on nucleation, co-processing with excipients, polymorphism, process analytical technology, and its industrial applications. He also worked as a Scientist at Dai-Ichi Karkaria Limited, India (2003-2005), Avantium Technologies BV in the Netherlands (2008-2010) and SSCI a division of AMRI, West Lafayette, Indiana USA (2016-2017). Dr. Kulkarni’s industrial work was focused on Chemical reactions, crystallization and isolation and drying.
