Alfred Y. Lee is a Senior Principal Scientist in the Department of Analytical Research & Development at Merck & Co., Inc. (USA). Prior to his current position, Dr. Lee was a Principal Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline PLC. Dr. Lee’s scientific interests are in the area of crystal engineering, crystallization process development, materials characterization, crystal polymorphism, and the physical chemistry of solids. He has authored more than 25 scientific publications, an inventor on 6 patents and is a co-editor on the 3rd edition of the Handbook of Industrial Crystallization
